Colin Burns

Colin joined the firm in September 1976 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981. From the beginning he has specialised in taxation matters and was admitted to The Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1985. Admitted to the Partnership in 1986, he jointly founded the financial services division of the practice which has transformed into the present Gerald Edelman Wealth Management Ltd.
Colin has implemented a substantial expansion of the financial services division and continues to advise on tax efficient investments. He also runs a small team caring for the tax affairs of private clients whilst servicing his own portfolio of general practice clients. These include many property trading, investment and development companies. Colin passed the Investment Business Certificate of the ICAEW in November 1995 and now focuses particularly on innovative tax mitigation arrangements.
Personal
In his spare time, Colin enjoys theatre, art, restaurants, travelling, following West Ham United Football Club and spending time with his wife and family.
